Dr. Ouderkirk received his Doctorate of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine followed by his internship and residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. Next he completed an Infectious Disease fellowship from New York Medical College at Saint Vincent’s Hospital. As an undergraduate he studied Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Ouderkirk is certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease and Wound Care by the American Board of Medical Specialties. From 2005 – 2009 he served as the Co-Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at Piedmont-Fayette Hospital, and he is a certified Aviation Medical Examiner.
Look Young Atlanta works with Dr. Ouderkirk to offer injectables, medical weight loss options and hormone replacement therapy. In 2001 Dr. Ouderkirk became a Faculty and Physician Preceptor at Atlanta Medical Center where he still teaches residents, interns and students in various monthly rotations. Occasionally, he even sponsors foreign exchange students. Dr. Ouderkirk serves on several committees as he works to help regulate physicians and medical practices. He continues to further his own research and education by taking part in lectures at symposiums across the country.

He enjoys cooking, playing softball, hanging with friends (including his 3 dogs) and entertaining his nieces. By serving on the GLAAD Board of Directors Dr. Ouderkirk works to hold the media accountable for promoting understanding, increased acceptance and advances in equality for the LGBT community. He encourages patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle to promote healthy aging, and he strives to set patients on a path that leads to a healthier, happier future.
